Over the years I have been attracted to the figure in the landscape, especially in a solitary state, and when I have come across it I have tried to photograph it as discreetly as possible. Sometimes, perhaps due to timidity, they are of people photographed from behind and I have separated those images for later viewing. The result is this grouping of images, evocative of strong human sensations, not devoid of humour, presented here with a fortuitous pairing of quotes, sometimes apocryphal, others of multiple authorship that are revealed to the visitor when hovering over the image.
A note about the title: In English the word “regarding” means both to see and apropos of, and it is this untranslatable ambiguity that highlights the mystery of our existence and offers us the key to understanding it.
